This is a great wetland construction book
By Liz Bullock
This book is a comprehensive information source for professionals of all backgrounds and levels of expertise who are designing or constructing wetlands. It is a great resource that explains the "why" part for all the components important to wetland restoration, including locating a wetland, hydrology, aquatic habitat, soils, vegetation, and construction techniques. I really appreciate the explanation of wetland types with their associated species and vegetation, it is easy during the designing to forget about the biological functions that need to occur after the hydrology is established and what is going to live in the wetland after construction is finished. Tom's book really pulls it all together and provides the design and construction expertise for all wetland enthusiasts.

Information-Filled; Exciting and Appealing to Read
By Daniel J. Moss
While the book is certainly packed with information, the text and beautiful photos make reading it fun and easy enough that I can keep it on the coffee table. The first few chapters are very exciting and suck you in -- they cover how to recognize where historical wetlands may have been--it's archaeology! I've been inspired to go back to my old romping grounds in the North Carolina Piedmont and sleuth around the old mill and farm sites looking for wetlands.

Wetland Restoration and Construction - A Technical Guide
By Kindle Customer
Both the novice naturalist and experienced land manager will discover exciting, new ways of observing and evaluating landscapes. Tom does an exemplary job of integrating wetland construction techniques with wetland biology. Chapter 9, "Designing Wetlands for Wildlife", provides professional contractors and land managers key insights into wetland biodiversity - an essential ingredient for designing and constructing wetlands. The clarity of step-by-step instructions is complemented with superb diagrams and photographs. Go ahead; liven up your property with a seasonal pool - this book will guide you through a successful project, and your kids and grandkids will love you for it!"
