white coat's best friend

i did not really know what to expect when i ordered this book, since it does not have many reviews. im REALLY glad i bought it ! this book has all key facts needed to survive a medical internship, rotations and all. very good, it gets right to the point with physic, dx and tx options. very easy to understand. it also includes "round savers" which ar excellent tips to follow. they have indeed helped me. i recommend this book to everyone.

A must have in the white coat for students

I wish I had this book from day one of my internal medicine rotation. It is a student version comparable to pocket medicine (better for residents although I carry both in my whitecoat). This book outlines clinical pearls of what questions to ask during your patient interview when they present with specific symptoms, a little bit of pathophysiology and clinical management. It outlines what is the most accurate test (important for the shelf exam and the step), and what should be the next step in management of the patient (important for clinical care). There are tips and even potential questions that attendings may ask you on rounds! I can say this book saved me a few times from crashing and burning in front of my attending. Overall an amazing pocket to-go reference / refresher and read when you have a few minutes on the floor. Definitely a must in the white coat for students!
